تم إنشاء المركز الإقليمي للأغذية والأعلاف عام 1980 تحت إشراف وزارة الزراعة المصرية بموجب خطاب النوايا
الذي تم توقيعة عام 1970 بالتعاون مع الحكومة الدانماركية. وفي عام 1980 بدا نشاطة تحت مُسمى معمل تحاليل البروتين
وفي عام 1982 تغير الاسم إلى المعمل المصري الدنماركي للتحاليل الكيميائية والبيولوجية. في عام 1987 تم تغير اسمه ليُصبح المعمل المركزي للأغذية والأعلاف
واصبح تحت مظلة مركز البحوث الزراعية ، وفي 2007 صدر قرار وزاري بتسميتة المركز الإقليمي للأغذية والأعلاف.
وقد بدا العمل به بعدد 5 افراد ثم أصبح أكثر من 600 فرد في وقتنا الحالي ، ثم تطور العمل ليصل عدد المعامل إلى 27 معمل متخصص. ويعتبر المركز الإقليمي
للأغذية والأعلاف مسئولاً عن مُراقبة جودة كُلاً من الأعلاف المُصنعة وخاماتها المُستوردة بالإضافة إلى
مساهمته في إعداد وتنفيذ الخطط البحثية للنهوض بمستوى تغذية الإنسان والحيوان.
هذا وقد بدأ المركز الإقليمي للأغذية والأعلاف منذ عام 2002 المشاركة في الإختبارات الاحترافية مع كل من BIPEA بفرنسا و FAPAS بالمملكة المُتحدة.
وتم إعتماد المركز الإقليمي للأغذية والأعلاف من المؤسسة الأمريكية لإعتماد المعامل A2LA وحصولة على شهادة الإعتماد الدولي ISO/IEC 17025 في مجال
إختبارات التحاليل الكيميائية عام 2004 ويتم تجديد الإعتماد دورياً حتى وقتنا الحالي.

The
Regional Center for Food & Feed was established in 1980 with the cooperation
between the government of Denmark and the Ministry of Agriculture in Egypt.
In 1982 it was given the name of “Egyptian –Danish Laboratory for chemical and biological analysis”.
In 1987, the Lab was given the name of “Central Laboratory for Food & Feed” (CLFF)
and became a part of Agricultural Research Center (ARC) of the Ministry of Agriculture.
In 2007 A ministerial decree was issued to change the lab name to Regional Centre for Food & Feed (RCFF).
The work in RCFF started with 5 persons and the number grow to more than 600 person until now.
RCFF progressed to reach 27 specialized analytical labs.
RCFF is responsible for the quality control of feed and imported feed ingredients , in addition ,
RCFF contributes in implementing research plans for improving human & animal nutrition. In 2002 , RCFF began to participate in proficiency
testing with BIPEA/France and FAPAS/UK. In 2004, RCFF has been accredited
ISO/IEC17025 by the American Association for Laboratory accreditation
A2LA for technical competence in the field of chemical testing.

Le Centre Régional des Aliments et des Fourrages a été créé en 1980 avec la coopération du gouvernement du Danemark et du ministère de l'Agriculture en Égypte.
En 1982, il a été nommé "Laboratoire égypto-danois pour l'analyse chimique et biologique".
En 1987, le laboratoire a été nommé "le Laboratoire Central des Aliments et des fourrages "
et est devenu une partie du Centre de recherche agricole du ministère de l'Agriculture.
En 2007, un décret ministériel a été publié pour changer le nom du laboratoire au Centre Régional des Aliments et des Fourrages (RCFF).
Le RCFF a progressé pour atteindre 27 laboratoires d'analyse spécialisés. Le RCFF est responsable du contrôle de la qualité de fourrage et les ingrédients importés, ainsi que de sa contribution à la mise en œuvre des plans de recherche visant à améliorer la nutrition humaine et animale.
En 2002, RCFF a commencé à participer à des tests de rentabilité avec BIPEA / France et FAPAS / UK.
En 2004, le RCFF a été accrédité ISO / IEC17025 par l’Association américaine A2LA pour l’accréditation de laboratoires pour ses compétences techniques dans le domaine des essais chimiques.
L'accréditation est renouvelée périodiquement jusqu'à présent.
