Biotechnology Lab Achievements
1- Cooperated with the AGERI in performing
the food safety assessment of BT corn which is the first genetically
modified organism produced in Egypt.
2- Approved and has a satisfactory results in Proficiency test in
Biotechnology Lab : 35s, BT 176, BT 11, Nos, Mon 810, corn, wheat, soya,
Virbrio, Campylobacter, listeria monocytogenes, salmonella sp., Yersinia sp., E.coli O157:H7.
3- Accredited from ISO/17025 in detection of 35S, Corn, Mon 810.
4- Prevention of introduction of many imported shipments due to
detection of pork in meat and bone meal.
5- Approved and has satisfactory results in Proficiency test in
Biotechnology Lab : Virbrio, monocytogenes, salmonella sp., sp. and
E.coli O157:H7.
